So you’re probably wondering what me and the guys (& gals) have been up to since you last heard from us.

Well I’ve swapped a ride on a bike to a ride on a bull! That’s right, the Maverick Mob took a roadtrip around America and gave the rodeo a go!

Dodger instantly developed an allergy to cows, so he woosed out hiding in our beat up van.

But I love it! Dot was there taking pictures and you can see one of them in the new 2012 Maverick Meerkat Calendar!

Maverick Meerkat Calendar for Christmas

I just fancy putting my feet up and having a nice cuppa tea but Christmas is coming up. I haven’t done any Christmas shopping yet but we’ve still got 29 days – I think it would be a bit bad if I gave everyone one of their own Maverick Meerkat Calendars, so perhaps I may have to go out to the shops. What do you get a mob of meerkats? There are seven of us, so i’ve really got to get my thinking cap on.
Any ideas anyone? I’ve got to get something extra special for Jammie as she as my sister as well as my best friend. Hmmmm what to get.

Anyway enough of my rambling about Christmas gifts – you lot already have a perfect Christmas gift for your family and friends. You guessed it, a Maverick Meerkat 2011 Calendar! Ha ha!

Maverick Meerkat Calendar in the Sun, the Mail Online & the Metro

Hi Maverick fans – it’s Dodger here! Have you seen us in the news? First of all I got the shock of my life when they mentioned the Maverick Meerkat Calendar on the Radio (at some unearthly hour of the morning). Then I went over to my computer and found that not only were we on the Mail Online website, but we were in the Sun newspaper (& on the front page of their website) and on the front of the Metro website! Happy days!

I hope the fame doesn’t go to Jazz’s head – though it was actually Ziggy, Mac and Alec that had the lime light on the front pages of the web. One little quibble I have though… Under the picture of me and Jammy skydiving it says we are hang gliding…..If we are hang gliding where is the handlebar! Oh well you can’t have everything!

Maverick Meerkats Calendar on Telegraph website!

Yo, it’s Jazz here. I’ve got some totally great news! The Maverick Meerkats calendar was on the Telegraph website – which means in other words, I was on the website! Of course I’ve had lots of emails from adoring fans, in fact I have been inundated.

I’m thinking now of getting some sponsorship…What d’ya think? It would help the Meerkat calendar and the Maverick Meerkats.

Maverick Meerkat in a case

Would you believe it, I’ve broken my arm! I was skateboarding – I had just pulled off this most amazing trick, so I thought I’d try it again. Well while I was in mid-air, deep in concentration some driver can past and put his hand down on his horn. I nearly jumped out of my skin, of course I didn’t have time to correct myself and went plummeting down to earth.

I won’t give you the gory details, but I ended up going to hospital. So I won’t be skateboarding for a couple of months. Maybe Dot will let me help her put together the Maverick Meerkat Calendar?

Typing with one hand is not easy, so sorry for the short blog!

Maverick Meerkat Base Jumping

Ziggy ziggy zig zag…Who’s the man? I’m the man! I just managed to pull off a huge stunt. Picture this – me and a mountain. A real rocky craggy mountain. Well I climbed all the way up with this great weight on my back and then when I got to the top I just jumped. Yep that’s right, launched myself into the sky, felt like I was flying for a moment and then gravity pulled me down. Luckily this is an actual sport…Base jumping it’s called and then at the last minute you open your shoot and land safely on the ground. Soooo much fun – bit like bunjee jumping without the bouncing back.

Maverick Meerkat Calendar Photoshoot?

What’s up? Jazz here – I’ve just got back from a photoshoot. Not one for the Maverick Meerkat Calendar…Oh no this was for the Model Meerkat Magazine – one of those mag which only the best looking meerkats get in. I was talent spotted by some manager dude who was watching me during one of my BMX competitions. He said I’d be perfect for their centre fold – of course I agreed straight away…All good for PR y’know?

Can’t wait till it hits the shops.

Maverick Meerkat Calendar Suggeations

Well I thought I would do a bit for public relations and ask you guys what you think may look good in the next Maverick Meerkat Calendar? I can’t say that we’ll be able to do it, as sometimes planning is too difficult – but it would be great to hear what weird and whacky sports you guys think we should do.

Of course I’d love go somewhere nice and warm…perhaps with a beach and palm trees. Then in between the photographs I can relax on the beach, rather than getting my fur wet in soggy England.

Maverick Meerkat Calendar

Yo – it’s Jammie! Have you heard from Dodger? I think he’s in hiding after the bobsleighing. He is a real wuss sometimes. Though he’s great at doing the organising – particularly helping Dot out with all the work that goes on for the Maverick Meerkat Calendar. We’ve got to start thinking of all the different extreme stunts/sports that we want to do for the next meerkat calendar. I want to give bungee jumping out of a helicopter a go and perhaps a bit of ice climbing. Maybe Dodger will organise it for me?

I’ll go and check.

Bobsleighing Maverick Meerkat

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!! I’ve just got back from bobsleighing with my mad sister Jammie! You would think you couldn’t do it when it wasn’t winter, but it’s not true (though I wish it was!). It is one of the scariest things my sister has made me do – even skydiving was better than that. We went down so fast and I had to jump in at the beginning. Luckily Dot got the shot for the Meerkat Calendar on the first run! Phew.

I feel sorry now for the guys in Cool Runnings…not an easy sport to take up! I’m a bit worried though, as I think Jammie loved it and I am sure when it’s winter she’ll insist we do it again. I’ll have to come up with a really good excuse.

I better get my thinking cap on.
